Transforming Land – Enriching Communities

Founded in 1975, ASL began as an agricultural drainage contractor servicing local farming communities. Over time, we expanded our operations and formed long-term partnerships with Ottawa’s largest land developers and selected General Contractors.  

Today, ASL operates across six sectors transforming land and enriching communities with over 200 staff.  It’s through our dedication to our clients, our communities, and our team that we have become the company we are today.

ASL was founded as Agrodrain Systems Limited performing agricultural tile drainage in Eastern Ontario

We head overseas to partner with local governments in India & Pakistan teaching locals tile drainage.

Specialty Projects

We focus on niche projects where we can use our ingenuity to innovate exemplified by installing the 1st Underground Fiber Optic Cable in Canada.

On the Road Again

ASL begins building golf courses across North America opening offices in Vermont & Tennessee.

We Move Dirt
We Move Dirt

We partner with a large builder to move over 500,000m³ of earth starting at Half-Moon Bay in Barrhaven and solidifying ASL as market leader in land development.

ASL begins working with track builders at their request, digging basements like we move dirt – fast!

We start building parks and streetscapes for our clients at their request.
